Three Generations

Jackie Lynn - Founder-Director of Kaye-Lynne Dance Studio established in 1955. Miss Lynn has taught thousands of children in all forms of dance throughout her career. She has given her pupils knowledge, confidence, self-respect and a positive feeling in the world of dance.

Robin Kaye - Robin Kaye, a graduate of JP Stevens High School – 1980, is the co-owner and Director of Kaye-Lynn Dance Studios which is a professional, non-recital dance studio, with over fifty years of family-run dance training located in Edison & Milltown.  Robin is the Director-Choreographer of the award winning Encore Ensemble Dance Company, established in 1983. Her goal has always been to provide parents and children with the best dance education under the guidance and knowledge of her highly trained, professional staff and teachers.

 Robin is recently married to Dave Villalona and is enjoying her very busy life with her blended family.

Jasi Lynn - The third generation teacher. Jasi has studied dance under the direction of her grandmother and mother since she was three. Jasi in now following in the footsteps and passing along her love and passion of teaching and dance.

Our Staff

Growing up at Kaye-Lynn, dance has always been a huge part of her life. After 14 years of competing with Encore Ensemble, Jaci continued her passion for dance at The Pennsylvania State University by obtaining a minor in Dance. She is excited to be back teaching at Kaye-Lynn!

Now a Freshman at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, MaryAlice is working hard towards a BFA in Dance as well as a Master's Degree in Dance Education. Dancing is MaryAlice's true passion, and she avidly works to instill the joy of dance in others and will always continue to do so with Kaye-Lynn dancers!

Alyssa is currently a sophomore at Rutgers University with a double major in Dance and Exercise Science. She has been dancing since the age of three and is currently still performing with a modern dance company, KAOS, under the direction of Kimberly Sparks. Alyssa has been teaching and assisting since the age of fifteen and she enjoys sharing her love of dance!

In 1984, the front door of Kaye-Lynn dance studio swung open, and a two year old girl named Lori walked in.  It only took minutes...her life path was chosen.  Lori Beth Katz is a graduate of Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio, who has pursued a career in dance.     
Lori Beth Katz has a bachelor of fine arts degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.

Erin Tinkel is a Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio Alumni. She danced with Kaye-Lynn from the age of four in 1990 until she graduated from high school in 2005. She was a part of the Encore Ensemble Dance Company while at Kaye-Lynn and competed in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop, winning numerous awards in group and solo dances.

Nancy has been an accomplished teacher and choreographer with Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio for over 10 years.
She attended Montclair State University with a minor in dance and was a member of the NY Knicks City Dancers!
Most recently she has performed and choreographed throughout the states and overseas with Defected Records in the UK. 
Nancy's energetic style in Hip Hop and Tap has brought numerous awards to our Encore Ensemble Dance Company.
Her students have gone on to receive numerous championship titles, overall high scores and acceptance into high school and college level dance programs and dance teams.

Lara M. Friedman is a graduate of Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio and is currently studying as a B.F.A. Dance Major with k-12 certification at Towson University in Maryland. She was a founding member of Baltimore-based modern company, Deep Vision Dance Company in 2010. She has continued her passion in choreography as well, earning the First Place Joanne D. Hanson Memorial Award for NSAL's Art of the Solo competition in April 2011.

Eileen has been a part of the Kaye-Lynn family since she was 3 years old. She was selected for the Encore Ensemble Dance Company at age 6 and has been teaching at the studio since she was 17.  Eileen teaches ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop to girls and boys of all ages.  She is currently the Head of the Tap department and the Vice President of the Encore Ensemble Dance Company.    

Jackie has been dancing since the age of 3. She has competed regionally, nationally and has performed internationally under the tutelage of Michele Selvanto-Kowalski. She is extensively trained in many genres including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. She has had the opportunity to take Master classes from Frank Hatchett, Rob Hoffman, Marty Dew and Laurie Johnson. Jackie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Rutgers University and currently works as a freelance Event Coordinator for Tribeca in NYC. 

Heather Favretto obtained her BFA in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She is the founder and co-artistic director of Glitterati. Her choreography has been presented at DTW's performance lab, H.T. Chen's NewSteps Series, HATCH, Triskelion Arts Center, NJPAC's Dance Jam, Rutgers University, Connecticut College, The Outlet Project, and at several concerts in and around the greater New York area.

Robert Taylor Jr. graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a bachelor's degree in dance. His credits include television shows, music videos and the national tour of "Hairspray." Taylor is honored to have once performed for Michael Jackson. He has trained with numerous professionals and has performed in some of the country's most prestigious dance shows.

Jenna has been with Kaye Lynn for over 13 years. Jenna was a member of Encore Ensemble for 10 years as a dancer until she graduated, and is now continuing her time at Kaye Lynn as a teacher. Jenna has danced with Rutgers Performing Dance Company and is now studying dance at Mason Gross School of the Arts as well as working towards a degree in psychology for special education.

Dancing since the age of 3, this amazing piece of art lead to me to my dream of becoming a professional dancer for the New Jersey Devils for the past two seasons. I graduated from Ramapo College with a bachelor degree in Media & Communications along with a business certification. I was on the Ramapo College Dance Team for 2 years and ranked top 3 nationally at NDA in Daytona Beach, FL both years. I am the founder of St. John Vianney High School Dance Team in Holmdel and was on competitive level teams at a local dance studio since the age of 7. I was seen on Jerseylicous, Wendy Williams, and Good Day New York. I performed at the Sugar Bowl at 17 years old in Florida. I have trained with numerous professionals and can only look forward to working with more.

Jessica has been dancing since the age of 3. Under the direction of Michele Selvanto-Kowalski, she has competed regionally and nationally. Better known to her students as “Miss Jessie,” Jessica is trained in many genres such as Ballet, Tap, Acro-Gymnastics, Lyrical/Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Pointe. She has performed at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, IZOD Center, Walt Disney World, Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. Jessica has had the privilege to take master classes from Tony Bellissimo, Jeff Amsden, Laurie Johnson and Derrick Schrader. She is currently a student at Kean University seeking a degree in Public Relations.

Since a very young age, Amy has been studying and performing the art of dance. While studying with many prestigious choreographers such as Frank Hatchet, Sheilia Barker, Tyce Diorio, Cris Judd and many more. Miss Amy also received many accomplishments throughout her career such as a member of the NJ Nets Dance Team and being selected to be apart of StarPower's PowerPak tour.

Miss Amy is Kean University graduate, where she was a member of their dance team, with a bachelor degree in elementary education. Amy is currently teaching elementary students in the area.

Dance has always been a love of Miss Amy's and she enjoys being able to pass on that love to all her students.

Jada Rose Cunningham is a Chicago born and raised dance performer and educator who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Mason Gross School of The Arts and Master’s degree in Dance Education in 2015. Through out her four years of immersion with New York City artists she had the opportunity of performing works by Stefanie Batten Bland, Manuel Vignouelle, Doug Elkins, and Sidra Bell. She has performed in two American College Dance Festival Gala performances in the Northeastern Conference, and performed at the Nation’s American College Dance Festival Gala at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C in 2014.
