Three Generations

Jackie Lynn - Founder-Director of Kaye-Lynne Dance Studio established in 1955. Miss Lynn has taught thousands of children in all forms of dance throughout her career. She has given her pupils knowledge, confidence, self-respect and a positive feeling in the world of dance.

Robin Kaye - Robin Kaye, a graduate of JP Stevens High School – 1980, is the co-owner and Director of Kaye-Lynn Dance Studios which is a professional, non-recital dance studio, with over fifty years of family-run dance training located in Edison & Milltown.  Robin is the Director-Choreographer of the award winning Encore Ensemble Dance Company, established in 1983. Her goal has always been to provide parents and children with the best dance education under the guidance and knowledge of her highly trained, professional staff and teachers.

 Robin is recently married to Dave Villalona and is enjoying her very busy life with her blended family.

Jasi Lynn - The third generation teacher. Jasi has studied dance under the direction of her grandmother and mother since she was three. Jasi in now following in the footsteps and passing along her love and passion of teaching and dance.

Our Staff

Growing up at Kaye-Lynn, dance has always been a huge part of her life. After 14 years of competing with Encore Ensemble, Jaci continued her passion for dance at The Pennsylvania State University by obtaining a minor in Dance. She is excited to be back teaching at Kaye-Lynn!

Now a Freshman at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, MaryAlice is working hard towards a BFA in Dance as well as a Master's Degree in Dance Education. Dancing is MaryAlice's true passion, and she avidly works to instill the joy of dance in others and will always continue to do so with Kaye-Lynn dancers!

Wari Carron is a licensed Zumba Instructor since October/2009 and a member of ZIN (Zumba Instructor Network), a continuing education program of Zumba Fitness LLC. She is also a nationally certified group exercise instructor (by AFAA).

In 1984, the front door of Kaye-Lynn dance studio swung open, and a two year old girl named Lori walked in.  It only took minutes...her life path was chosen.  Lori Beth Katz is a graduate of Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio, who has pursued a career in dance.     
Lori Beth Katz has a bachelor of fine arts degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.

Erin Tinkel is a Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio Alumni. She danced with Kaye-Lynn from the age of four in 1990 until she graduated from high school in 2005. She was a part of the Encore Ensemble Dance Company while at Kaye-Lynn and competed in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop, winning numerous awards in group and solo dances.

Nancy has been an accomplished teacher and choreographer with Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio for over 10 years.
She attended Montclair State University with a minor in dance and was a member of the NY Knicks City Dancers!
Most recently she has performed and choreographed throughout the states and overseas with Defected Records in the UK. 
Nancy's energetic style in Hip Hop and Tap has brought numerous awards to our Encore Ensemble Dance Company.
Her students have gone on to receive numerous championship titles, overall high scores and acceptance into high school and college level dance programs and dance teams.

Lara M. Friedman is a graduate of Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio and is currently studying as a B.F.A. Dance Major with k-12 certification at Towson University in Maryland. She was a founding member of Baltimore-based modern company, Deep Vision Dance Company in 2010. She has continued her passion in choreography as well, earning the First Place Joanne D. Hanson Memorial Award for NSAL's Art of the Solo competition in April 2011.

Eileen has been a part of the Kaye-Lynn family since she was 3 years old. She was selected for the Encore Ensemble Dance Company at age 6 and has been teaching at the studio since she was 17.  Eileen teaches ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop to girls and boys of all ages.  She is currently the Head of the Tap department and the Vice President of the Encore Ensemble Dance Company.    

Jackie has been dancing since the age of 3. She has competed regionally, nationally and has performed internationally under the tutelage of Michele Selvanto-Kowalski. She is extensively trained in many genres including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. She has had the opportunity to take Master classes from Frank Hatchett, Rob Hoffman, Marty Dew and Laurie Johnson. Jackie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Rutgers University and currently works as a freelance Event Coordinator for Tribeca in NYC. 

Heather Favretto obtained her BFA in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She is the founder and co-artistic director of Glitterati. Her choreography has been presented at DTW's performance lab, H.T. Chen's NewSteps Series, HATCH, Triskelion Arts Center, NJPAC's Dance Jam, Rutgers University, Connecticut College, The Outlet Project, and at several concerts in and around the greater New York area.

Robert Taylor Jr. graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a bachelor's degree in dance. His credits include television shows, music videos and the national tour of "Hairspray." Taylor is honored to have once performed for Michael Jackson. He has trained with numerous professionals and has performed in some of the country's most prestigious dance shows.

Crystal has a Bachelor of Arts from Anderson University in Political Science and Finance with a minor in Spanish and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from The Ohio State University. She has trained under notable masters including Yvonne Peters, Doug King, Steve Rooks, Freddie Moore, Susan Hadley, Noa Zuk. Rodney A. Brown, and Crystal Perkins-Fuller.

Lisa has recently moved to New Jersey. She was born and raised in Brewster NY, where she studied dance at Seven Star School of Performing Arts in Brewster, New York under the direction of Nicole Aravena. She has also performed with tap dancer Aaron Tolson. From dancing all these years Lisa grew a strong passion for teaching.
